St. Michael School in Findlay is hiring a Dean of Students and/or Academics for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will support the Principal and work alongside another Dean. Candidates should be familiar with K-12 Catholic education from prior experience in teaching or administration. Candidates should be practicing Catholics who believe in the mission of Catholic Schools in the Toledo Diocese. This is a full-time, salaried position. Pay is negotiable and based on experience. Any candidate must exemplify leadership and possess the ability to work within a team of administrators.

 

Qualifications:

-An ability to function as an assistant to the Principal and leader to staff and students

-Leadership and experience with student culture, discipline, and handbook enforcement

-An ability to oversee curriculum design, teacher instruction, and academic record keeping

-Familiarity with state and diocesan policies regarding staff licensure and certification, funding models, reporting obligations, and administrative best practices

-Desire to act as an advocate for the Parish mission within the community and diocese

-Possess or have an ability to obtain background check compliance, Virtus compliance, appropriate licensure, and willingness to work toward further certification such as a Principal’s License

-Candidates with experience in K-4 and a Masters Degree are highly desirable, but not exclusively considered

Position: Music Teacher (K-8)

St. Michael the Archangel School is seeking a passionate and skilled full-time Music Teacher for the 2026-27 academic year to join our two-person music department. This is a collaborative co-teaching position, working closely alongside our existing full-time music teacher to deliver a comprehensive music education program rooted in Catholic values. The ideal candidate is a faithful Catholic who brings strong musicianship, a genuine love for working with young students, and a commitment to integrating the Catholic faith throughout their teaching.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Teach General Music classes across assigned grade levels, with intentional integration of Catholic principles, sacred music traditions, and the Church's rich musical heritage
  • Co-instruct Choir and Band, with the expectation of taking the lead role in one of these ensembles based on qualifications and experience
  • Collaborate closely with the co-teacher to plan curriculum, coordinate performances, and maintain a unified program vision
  • Support and model the teachings of the Catholic Church and the Magisterium in both professional conduct and classroom instruction
  • Cultivate a music program that reflects the school's mission to shape saints and scholars, pointing students toward a deeper love of God through the art of music

Additional Opportunities (Extra-Stipend Roles)

Beyond the standard contract, the following leadership opportunities are available for the right candidate:

  • Una Voce Show Choir – Assist in leading our 6th–8th grade show choir, one of the signature performance ensembles of our school community
  • Fall Musical (Grades 2–4) – Help plan, rehearse, and produce our fall musical production for lower elementary students
  • Spring Musical (Grades 5–8) – Help plan, rehearse, and produce our spring musical production for upper elementary and middle school students

These roles are compensated through additional stipends outside of the base teaching contract.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Music Education or a related field (Master's degree a plus)
  • Ohio teaching licensure in Music, or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Demonstrated experience or strong preparation in choral or instrumental (band) direction
  • Ability to teach general music effectively across a range of grade levels
  • An active, practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, with a sincere commitment to living and teaching in accordance with the Magisterium
  • A desire to integrate Catholic identity, sacred music traditions, and faith formation into the music curriculum
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills — this role is built on close partnership with a fellow educator
  • Ability to pass background check and secure Virtus training

Speech Language Pathologist


St. Michael School in Findlay is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. Ideal candidates will be able to: complete therapy sessions with students on Service Plans and for intervention services for students in the school by preparing materials for sessions; produce concise documentation for progress monitoring, and complete progress reports each nine week period of the quarter; schedule and carry out required screenings for grade levels annually. Hours and compensation for this position are negotiable and determined by experience and availability.

 

Qualifications:

-Knowledge of preparing service plans and contacting home school districts, as appropriate when service plans or evaluations are required

-Knowledge of testing materials to be used to complete Evaluation Team Reports, which may be speech only or part of a team evaluation

-Knowledge of screening tools when screening is requested for a student at school

-Knowledge of use of an audiometer to screen students' hearing

-Masters Degree in Communications Disorders or relevant field

-Compliance with professional standards, licensures, and certifications in field

-Ability to pass background check and secure Virtus training

St. Michael School in Findlay is hiring a Tutor for grades K-2 during the 2026-2027 school year. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children in a preschool and/or primary school setting, with a Bachelor’s Degree, an ability to show leadership, exercise initiative, and communicate well with students, families, and colleagues.

 

Qualifications:

-Possess Aide’s License through ODE, or ability to gain one

-Familiarity with Science of Reading and high-dosage tutoring

-Desire for professional development, for example in Dyslexia
